Gong Xi Fa Chai

We're Alive!!

Take a look at the photo's we've put up. We have visited Melaka which is the oldest city in Malaysia and we are now in Singapore. Arrived last night and landed into the craziness of Chinese New Year celebrations. Lots to see and do here, so we will be busy. It is very hot and humid. Possibly around 30 C. Apologies for your cold and wet January, ours is lovely!! Still I bet you're not covered in mosquitoe bites.....

Rich has finally had a shave! Thank god, I was scared of a dodgy tan!!

The hostel we are in at the minute is lovely. Would recommend it to anyone coming here (Hangout, Upper Wilkie Road, SGP)

Hope you are all well and we will keep you posted. Keep looking, we might secretly add something exciting! Happy Chinese New Year!

Winning the Jackpot at the Pub Quiz at The Fox in Steventon

Hi Guys

For those of you that were at the Pub Quiz before we left, here's a photo of us all (minus Kate who was taking the photo) with our 500 in Winnings!

For those that don't know, we went to a pub quiz before we left and with the help of all these guys, scooped the jackpot (500 quid), nevermind that we only came third overall in the quiz and the money was won on 'Play your cards right' but hey! Unfortunately our winnings had to go on buying Malaria tablets, but it saved us buying them!

To Tobey who left early, bet you wished you stuck around.

From left to right we have Matt, Rob, Ben, Dan, Andy (lying down), Paul and Me!

Let me know if you went back and won the next week too!

It's gone.........

Clio Certificate of Destruction
Clio Certificate of Destruction,
originally uploaded by Rich Clark.
Yep thats right folks, for those of you that knew it, the Clio has joined the big old car scrapheap in the sky! (Proof is on the right!) Unfortunately I don't have any photo's of it being crushed (to emotional to stick around!) Chris that means you missed your chance!

I know you all never thought you'd see the day when it finally went but it has (no tears were shed - honestly.)

It was eventful till the end though, having to bump start it (my dad, Kate and me were knackered) to drive it up to the scrapyard, then it conked out so had to be towed instead! The worst part being that the scrapyard was only a couple of miles up the road and it could barely make it out of the drive!

The bonus being that it was free to scrap it so that saved us a few quid!

Anyways that all, just thought I'd let you all know. Feel free to have a drink on the rusty old Clio!
